Reclaiming Authentic Femininity – Residential
Friday 6 August 2021 @ 6pm
Ends: Sunday 8 August 2021 @ 2.30pm
The focus will be on the gift of self and the spousal identity stamped into our very bodies. St. John Paul II outlines a bold and daring vision of marriage, human love and the gift of our sexuality. We are delighted to contribute in the building of a culture of life, love and the beauty of the human person.
Christine Ward has been married to Tom for 30 years – they met at Durham University, where Christine studied English language & Medieval Literature. They have four children. Christine worked in business until the arrival of her fourth child. Since then she worked as a volunteer for Xt3, the Catholic youth charity launched at World Youth Day in Sydney. She then undertook further study completing a Masters with distinction in 2011. In 2012 Christine then embarked on a Phd through Maryvale – her area of specialism is Catholic Church teaching on sex outside marriage/cohabitation and contraception. She graduated in 2018 and was also awarded the Edward Hulmes prize for research. Christine is passionate about the magisterial teaching of the Church – especially with regard to the sexual moral teaching.
