~ WS II – Fulfilling God’s Will In Our Daily Lives ~
Friday 6 May 2022 @ 5pm
Ends: Sunday 8 May 2022 @ 2.30pm
The second of the ‘Walsingham Spirituality’ series, looking at what it means to fulfil and accept God’s will in our daily lives, especially in moments of difficulty.
RESIDENTIAL OR ZOOM.
‘I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ Rom 12, 1-2
This quote implies that all of life would become “spiritual worship.” CCC no1 says that God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to us. He calls us to seek him, to know him, to love him with all our strength. He calls together all people, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. It is through the Church that we can grow in the knowledge of God’s plan for us. Faith helps us see reality with God’s eyes so that we become capable of spiritual discernment for “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”. Mt 7:21 Over the weekend we will be challenged to look more carefully at the way in which we make choices.
Attend on a residential basis or via ZOOM
Prices are per person for 2 nights’ accommodation, full board, refreshments and use of the beautiful facilities of Dowry House.
